[fa icon="plus-square"] Can we bring a guest?

Yes, you can bring a spouse, significant other, or close friend. Please note that the Sanctuary Cap Cana Resort is Adults and guests over 18 years only.

Please ensure you register with guest information and that your guest has an active passport that won’t expire in less than 6 months after the trip dates.

[fa icon="plus-square"] When must we RSVP by?

All RSVPs must be received by February 28th, 2025. Please make sure your RSVP is on time to secure your spot on the May trip.

[fa icon="plus-square"] What are my flight details?

All flights should be booked in Egencia. Prior to booking your flights, please make yourself familiar with Acquia’s Travel and Expense policy.

Please keep in mind, you will be flying into the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ)! All attendees coming from international/west coast offices are permitted to arrive to the Sanctuary Resort on May 1st. All other attendees should arrive on May 2nd.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Can I come early or extend my trip?

We have a limited amount of pre/post extensions. Please email Info@ExecutiveGroupTravel.com for extension requests at the discounted group rate. 

Once Executive Group Travel confirms your extension, you have 72 hours to cancel those nights.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Will airport transportation be provided in Punta Cana?

Yes. When you arrive to Punta Cana airport, please proceed through customs then pick up luggage and pass through immigration. Please follow signs towards the exit and make sure you completely exit the airport before looking for your transfer. It will be outside the airport, not inside. Please look for the Acquia sign held by our transportation partner.

Please note that transportation will only be arranged on group arrival and departure dates. If you are extending your trip prior to or after the event, you will be responsible to arrange your own transportation to or from the airport.

For your transfer from Sanctuary to the Punta Cana airport, you must check-out from the hotel and meet the transportation rep in the main lobby. Your departure time will be listed in your personalized itinerary 2 weeks prior to the event.

[fa icon="plus-square"] What should I pack?

The high temperatures in Punta Cana on average in early May averages 87°F. 

A few other helpful items to bring:

  • Valid Passport - your passport must be valid through your departure date for those attending from the US. *Please note that you are responsible to understand the travel requirements to travel to and from your home country. This is NOT the responsibility of Executive Group Travel.*
  • A Credit Card will be required at the time of check in for incidentals
  • Resort Casual attire
  • Bathing Suit
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Active Wear for those looking to use the resorts fitness center

Please see the following dress codes required at the restaurants on site (for dinner):

Blue Marlin & Casa Bella: Smart Casual, dress shorts, jeans or trousers, closed shoes, collared short-sleeve shirts are required for gentlemen. Ladies require formal shorts, sandals, jeans, skirts, dresses, overalls. dress sandals or closed shoes.

Wok: Dress formal shorts, jeans or casual pants, closed-toe shoes, short-sleeved shirts with a collar are required for men. Ladies require formal shorts, sandals, jeans, skirts, dresses, overalls. dress sandals or closed shoes.

The Steakhouse & CapriccioElegant evening wear is required for both men and women. Trousers, close-toed shoes, collared short-sleeve shirts are required for gentlemen. Ladies require dress sandals.

ELEGANCE FOR GENTLEMEN: Long pants, Collar Shirts, Shirts, casual closed shoes are required however sleeveless t-shirts are not permitted.

ELEGANCE FOR LADIES: Long pants, capri pants, skirts, blouses, casual shoes are allowed, however shorts and flip-flops, bathing suite, short tops are not permitted.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Do you need to make reservations for dinner at the resort's restaurants?

We highly recommend making dinner reservations for your open nights upon arrival through the concierge team. Reservations are REQUIRED at Capriccio and at Wok for Teppanyaki seating.

Please note for the nights of May 2nd and May 4th, you are all set for dinner as Acquia has pre-arranged reservations for the small group dinners and will be hosting the celebration dinner, so no additional reservations are needed on those nights.

[fa icon="plus-square"] What is Sanctuary town and is it included?
Located right across from the Sanctuary Cap Cana, Sanctuary Town features 9 outlets, including great places to eat, and two themed bars with new approaches to the local culinary variety. Sanctuary Town combines the authentic ambiance and unique décor in each venue.
 
The restaurants are included in your all-inclusive package with limited menus. El Rincon de Paco and Anejos are NOT included in your package.

Outlets are open daily from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Do I need to book my own hotel?

The Hotel has been pre-booked and billed to the company so please do not reserve your own room. 

During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to select the bedding type for your room (Queen/King vs 2 beds). Please note that this is NOT GAURENTEED rather based upon availability at the resort.

[fa icon="plus-square"] If the itinerary changes, how will I stay updated?

There will be two options.

1.  All updates and changes will be communicated to you through email in a timely manner from Executive Group Travel.  This means you should be using the hotel wi-fi once a day to check for any updates or special events added.

2.  Your personal itinerary on the Trip Plans App will be updated live so we highly recommend downloading the Trip Plans app for the best possible event experience.  You will receive an email 3 weeks before the event with instructions to download this app with your personal itinerary.
